2017 – BMW

2017 BMW K1600B
Classic American styling is the focus for this 160-hp six-cylinder offering that targets the bagger class. Based on BMW’s touring 1600GT version, the B-model carries deep-set side cases and is designed with a low-slung look and a low rear frame for reduced vehicle height. Tech features include electronic suspension and reverse and shift assist.

A 34-hp, 313cc single-cylinder is at the heart of this diminutive member of BMW’s GS family. The fuel-injected engine is housed in a tube-steel frame with a bolt-on rear section, aluminum swingarm and inverted front forks. Fitted with five-spoke wheels, ABS, and a six-speed transmission, this bike also has a multi-function instrument panel.

RnineT Family

BMW continues to expand its RnineT family with new offerings for 2017 that include the retro-themed RnineT Urban GS, which pays tribute to the R80G/S of the 1980s. The RnineT’s modular frame concept has allowed multiple versions of the bike, though all share an 1170cc boxer twin.

BMW’s flagship in the Adventure sector has undergone some        stylistic and ergonomic changes for 2017, though it returns with variable ride modes, hill-start and traction control. Its 125-hp air/liquid-cooled boxer engine again powers the standard version and the more off-road dedicated GS Rallye version.
