Suzuki has lofty goals for the new 2017 GSX-R1000. The company claims that the 2017 edition of the legendary sport bike will feature the most powerful GSX-R engine ever, be the lightest GSX-R1000 ever, the most compact GSX-R1000 chassis ever and yet remain true to traditional GSX-R styling cues. The bike will of course be packed with all the latest electronics including ride by wire, a 10 level traction control system, three riding modes, electronically controlled ABS, quick shift, launch control.
In a nutshell the company spells it out like this:
The primary goal is to regain the King of the Sportbikes crown. This simple, yet direct objective embodies the personal and professional ambition of Suzuki engineers, who are determined to restore the GSX-R1000 to its proper title of The King of Sportbikes. The 2017 GSX-R1000 Concept is the most powerful, hardest-accelerating, cleanest-running GSX-R ever built.
Suzuki is still referring to the next generation 2017 GSX-R 1000 as a concept even thought the technical details seem to be pretty well worked out.
