To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Fat Boy, Harley-Davidson has launched a special edition of the 2020 bike. With all the pending interest in the new directions the company is embarking upon in terms of electric bikes, street-fighters and adventure touring machines, it is good to see credit doled out where credit is due. The 1990 Fat Boy is owed props for re-igniting an interest in non-touring Harley-Davidson models and contributing to that tremendous wave of success the company rode through the nineties and into the early 2000s. Sure there were adv bikes and street fighters in the line-up through (some of) those years in the Buell guise but that was likely because the company had so much money burning holes in their leather pants that they had to do something with the cash. It wasn’t a bad idea it turned out to be bad timing. The 2020 Harley-Davidson comes ensconced in a black paint scheme with subtle bronze highlights for a thinning effect and those essential solid disk wheels that proudly add the weight back on… but what are a few extra pounds when you have a Milwaukee Eight 114 on board to get things moving.
