Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s have touched glasses in a deal to produce a limited run of Jack Daniel’s flavoured Indian Chief Vintages bikes. On tap and sufficiently aged, these machines will offer a unique paint scheme, leather stitching, embossed saddlebags and Jack Daniel’s anniversary badges (as the purveyor of libations is celebrating 150 years of production in 2016). In an interesting touch, the names of the seven master distillers who have kept Jack Daniel’s tasting like it should for the past 150 years will be painted on the bike. The first of these bikes will be offered for auction at the Barrett-Jackson festival of chrome and combustion that occurs in Las Vegas on October 6th – 8th after making various appearances that include Daytona Bike Week and the Barrett -Jackson Scottsdale Collector Car auction. Indian Motorcycle states that the proceeds from the auction will go to Operation Ride Home which assists military members with travel expenses.
Dave Sang, JD’s head honcho of Events and Sponsorship reminds everyone to enjoy the bike and libations separately as he states “This one-of-a-kind motorcycle is the perfect pairing of these two classic American brands, and while they look great together, we’ve inscribed this unique collector’s edition masterpiece with our ‘Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix’ mantra to remind all our friends that drinking and riding are meant to be enjoyed separately.”
Good advice Dave! Now how many bikes will there be in this series from Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s. We don’t know but the Old No. 7 comes to mind.
