The June 2014 issue of the new look Canadian Biker magazine features the 2014 Honda Valkyrie on the cover. It has been a few years since the Valkyrie name has appeared on a Honda motorcycle with the last hodrod version of the bike seen in 2003. Back then the Valkyrie was very much a traditionally styled cruiser with a very untraditional motor. The new Valkyrie takes the best of the old Valkyrie (the awesome straight six engine from the Gold Wing) and packs it into a smaller and noticeably lighter machine. Nothing but a recipe for an improvement in most cases – provided you do not plan on long, leisurely trips across the continent as that adventure would still be best left to the Gold Wing or the Valkyrie’s other sibling, the F6B. But if spinning the rear tire, making a little more noise around town and the occasional twisty road is more the focus of your riding adventure then the Valkyrie is suited to your tastes.
