Flat-Track Racing joins the X-Games

It is extremely competitive, features a lot of speed, dirt and noise and is very audience friendly due to the smaller track length so it isn’t a surprise that flat-track racing is set to debut as a competitive sport at the X Games in Austin, TX this June. Sponsored by Harley-Davidson, the winner of this inaugural invitational race will win a Harley-Davidson Street 750. For those unfamiliar with the sport, flat-track racing was once the most popular racing in North America until being surpassed by motocross. Back in the heyday of flat-tracking many road racing champions got their start on dirt tracks before moving to the pavement. If you have never watched a race it is definitely worth a look.
