Just days after Triumph announced that the company was staking claim to being the largest European sellers of motorcycles in North America (with a couple of caveats related to displacement), BMW has thrown a possible nein in the works with the announcement that they have just had the best quarter in company history. According to the company’s release BMW sold 31,370 units in the quarter. If you are curious as to what model remains the most popular – it is the R1200GS and R1200GSA combo which alone accounted for over 10,000 units. Far below but still admirable are the R1200RT and S1000RR at 2681 and 2474 units respectively. BMW didn’t break down the numbers into regions but is the point how many bikes you sell or where you sell them? Touche … to someone.
