2022 MOTORCYCLES AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN CANADA WITH PRICE

What follows is a list of 2022 motorcycles models (street legal only) available for sale in Canada as April 2022.

We attempt to only include motorcycles clearly indicated as 2022 models. We have included the price of the bike in Canada along with the prices of variations of the same motorcycle model – special editions, anniversary models and models with extra fancy bits designed to separate you from a little more of your money. Most manufacturers clearly promote the model year but several – and one in particular – make the process ambiguous for determining current model year of their offerings.  If one of your favourite motorcycles is missing go back and check the 2021 list.

What is a “NEW” model? For our list we have tried to make “NEW” mean new as “not there before”. If a claimed new model consists simply of paint, stickers or additional bolt on pieces, we tend to not call it new. For example an “anniversary” model is not new. The Kawasaki Z900 50th Anniversary is not new even though you could not buy one last year. But the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST – yes, it does have bags and a fairing added to an existing bike but it also comes with a bigger motor. It gets called “NEW”.

We will continue to update the list as further 2022 bikes are revealed.

What else have we learned so far?

1. The cheapest motorcycle available from a major OEM is the Honda Navi which is new for 2022. But, looking closer, it is really a scooter disguised as a motorcycle.
2. Price increases seem to have been kept to to between $300 and $600 for most bikes featuring no significant changes for the model year although there are a several bikes that have seen larger jumps. For many of the bikes, whether they are lower or higher on the price scale, the same increases have applied. Translating that, the more expensive the bike, the less the increase in price as a percentage. Also in a interesting move Indian Motorcycles seems to have held steady on most of the prices although a few models have increased in price.
3. As usual the vast majority of motorcycles have seen no changes from 2021 to 2022. Make sure to check if there are non-currents available as you will likely pay less for the same bike if it is new but a year older.
4. We include the Kawasaki H2R in this list even though it isn’t street legal but neither is it a race bike. It is more of a go fast engineering masterpiece.The H2R is still the most expensive bike available in Canada from a major OEM – a title it has held for several years. The Harley-Davidson CVO TriGlide, while not a motorcycle, is edging closer with a 2022 price of $59,999.
5. As for electric motorcycles, just because you can put a deposit down, doesn’t mean there are 2022 bikes on the street. To paraphrase a line from Jerry McGuire – “Show us the motorcycle!”
