Just how big is the tire that graces the front of the new Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight? It is a 16 inch rim – as is the rear – so you have a matching set . The width of the rubber is 130 and the profile a giant 90. The combination of the small rim and the wide and tall tire make the setup look larger than it is. In comparison the big Ultra Limited also rolls on a 130 front tire but is has a much more bike, a slightly smaller profile and a 17″ rim to balance the appearance. It may not seem like it but the Breakout also rolls on a 130 front tire but the rim is a much larger 21″ and the profile of the tire smaller at 60. The Forty-Eight is the antithesis of the big front wheel look popular today and for this bike it works.
