Yamaha has announced a new retro bike powered by its popular 700cc parallel twin will be be available to European riders as a 2016 model. The XSR700 pays homage to the XS650 and was designed by Shinya Kimura, a Japanese builder based out of Los Angeles who works within a Yamaha design philosophy called “Faster Sons” which is intended to pay tribute to previous Yamaha models while incorporating new technology. The XSR700 joins the SR400 and XJR1300 as well as bikes we are familiar with – the Bolt and VMax – in the European “Sport Heritage” collection. There is no current indication of the bike coming the North America.
