October 21, 2015: So today is Back to the Future day – the date Marty and Doc were headed to when they jumped in the Delorean at the end of the original Back to the Future. With stainless steel Deloreans a thing of the past, it was Toyota that jumped on today’s date with a hydrogen powered car that might in fact represent the future (as diesel just got a bad wrap). Many manufacturers are working on hydrogen powered vehicles and we could go back to to 2007 when the Suzuki Crosscage was a sleek hydrogen powered concept. Alas there is no Mr. Fusion to fuel the flux capacitors with banana peels and beer dregs attached to the tank. Then again I haven’t seen any Crosscages on the street – maybe in another thirty years. But Toyota it appears has a hydrogen powered car ready to go. It is great to see both Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox back on the screen together for October 21, 2015 in Toyota’s tribute / ad for their new hydrogen car. See the video here.
