The Canadian Motorcycle Show series has, for the first time since COVID, five events planned for 2024 that will run in January and February of the new year. The dates are a little different than you might remember so make a note. Rather than start in Calgary followed by Edmonton, the 2024 series will begin in Vancouver a touch later than the usual start date and make its way east without much of a break between shows.
The 2024 Canadian Motorcycle Show dates are:
Vancouver – January 12 – 14, 2024 at the Tradex
Edmonton – January 26 – 28, 2024 at Edmonton Expo Cenre
Calgary – February 2 – 4, 2024 at BMO Centre
Toronto – February 16 -18, 2024 ay Enercare Centre
Montreal – February 23 – 25. 2024 at Palais des congress
There are a few other differences since the last time we had five shows. The MMIC has renamed itself and apparently dropped their show division, Powersport Services. The new organization is called Moto Canada and the show name is now “The Motorcycle and Powersport Show”. As of the current date, it looks as though most of the major manufacturers have signed up to participate judging from the the info on the show website but there are a couple of surprising brands missing from the list. Whether they will arrive eventually or are giving the shows a pass remains to be seen.
So if your favourite for 2024 is the Honda SCL500 or the new redesigned Harley-Davidson CVOs or the Kawasaki ZX-4RR or Suzuki’s new V-Strom 800 you will most likely be able to see one of them at the shows along with the usual mix of aftermarket gear, clothing and a few exhibition events. And if you are really lucky, there will still be that mini donut guy. Those are tasty.
