MotoAmerica, the new home of AMA racing in the US, has announced that bicycles will be joining the Honda Superbike Challenge weekend at Road Atlanta on April 17. Following the first day of practice bicycles will hit the track on the Friday evening. Open to the public (for a price) but as many racers use bicycles in their training regimen, there will likely be a few competitors on the track during the event. Elevation changes are going to be a challenge to riders but an exact suspension setup won’t make the slightest difference while good tire pressure would be advisable. There is no note in the press release as to whether full leathers or shorts will be the required equipment for the ride. Also there is no word if bicycles will be making appearances at other races. Come on now, when you have a good idea, you have a good idea!
