The BMW R1200R that graces the cover of the March 2015 issue of Canadian Biker magazine represents one of the iconic models in the BMW line-up. Long before there were burly GS bikes there were small sporting roadsters. All this makes it no surprise that many were waiting impatiently for BMW to shoehorn their new liquid-cooled mill into this small chassis. Not only does the new R1200R get the new powerplant it also benefits from a host of high tech features that gives the Bavarian beast more Ducati-chomping bite.

Also tested in the issue are the MV Agusta Stradale. Better known for exotically designed sport bikes and “dragsters”, the Stradale is a sport touring machine with more focus on the “real world”. And then we have the Honda NM4. What is it? Well your guess is as good as ours. It may look like a superhero’s scooter/crime fighting tool but what is it really like to ride?

Our Canadian Biker touring story follows one of our frequent contributors to Nicaragua where he dispels some of the preconceptions that many have about this Central American nation.

We also had a lot of fun looking at concept bikes that didn’t quite make it to market. Some for the best some for the worst. The good news in this is that there are many talented designers trying to create the next great motorcycle.
