2020 MOTORCYCYLES AVAILABLE IN CANADA

The following is a list of the 2020 street motorcycles available for sale in Canada. The categories are searchable by manufacturer, type of motorcycle, price, motor and displacement. The information has been collected from material published by the manufacturers and, for the most part, the bikes are 2020 models. Some manufacturers do not distinguish from current and previous year models.  If you don’t find the bike you are looking for on this list, many of the big manufacturers have availability of limited 2019, 2018 and, in some cases, 2017 models year bikes. Where the bikes are unchanged, these new non-current models are often priced lower than the 2020 MSRP. Speaking of MSRP, many manufacturers are offering financing and discounts on 2020 and previous models so check out the company websites for further info.

In regard to categories of bikes, many machines fall between categories so we have tried to offer multiple cross-over categories for those machines.

We didn’t include non street legal machines including competition and motocross bikes. We also did not include scooters – big or small.

What are six interesting things we learned in compiling this list?

1. Excluding the Kawasaki H2R which is technically a track only machine priced at $61,200, the most expensive street “motorcycle” is a Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide trike at $59,999.
2. The least expensive motorcycle on the list is the Kawasaki Z125 at $3399, $300 less expensive than the Honda Grom.
3. There is a huge number of individual models of motorcycles available in Canada. The list contains over two hundred models but if you include all the variants within those models, the total number of models approached 300. It begs the question, are there too many choices?
4. The median price of a motorcycle model in Canada is around $15,000, the average price is even higher.
5. There is no particular segment that dominates the number of models that fall within the categories. Cruisers, while once the dominant variety, are now an equal player with some of the other categories. Take Harley and Indian out of the equation and the math dramatically changes.
6. Harley-Davidson offers the most individual models of any manufacturer and their most expensive model is 5 times the price of their least expensive model.
